Han Cheng

Han Cheng is a PhD candidate in Geography as a Cambridge Trust International Scholar. His doctoral project examines China's growing production of development knowledges and how various constructs of development travel, translate and come into play. Specifically, he studies a group of Chinese development scholars and their intellectual geography across China, Tanzania and the UK. Previously, he held a visiting fellowship at Yale University's MacMillan Center for International and Area Studies.

Prior to PhD, he worked for three years on sustainable development and rising powers at leading think tanks in the US and China, with resident research in India and South Africa. He is a recipient of the Global Governance Futures Fellowship, the Alexander von Humboldt Chancellor Fellowship, and the Northeast Asia Economic Forum Young Leader Fellowship.
