Lucas Van Milders

Lucas Van Milders is currently an Assistant Professor in Critical Security Studies at the University of Groningen.

Before that, he was a Lecturer in Politics and International Relations at Canterbury Christ Church University and an Assistant Lecturer at the School of Politics and International Relations at the Univeristy of Kent, where he also obtained his PhD in 2017.

He writes and teaches on decolonial philosophy, critical international relations, and radical politics in a global context. His research has appeared in Postcolonial Studies, Theory & Event, and the European Journal of International Relations.

He is currently working on two books: a monograph, Undoing Epistemicide: Decolonising Hermeneutics and Prefiguring Autonomy, and a co-authored textbook (with Andreas Aagaard Nøhr), Thinking about International Relations.
